Remember Pearl Harbor...Dec. 7, 1941. As many of you know, my father served as a tail gunner in B-25s and B-29s in the Air Force in WW II. On that day, my father, who was then 18, was walking out of Church at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church in Minneapolis when word of the Japanese bombing Pearl Harbor reached the church. Not long after that, he was drafted and sent to the USAF. He did his training in South Carolina. I've watched FDR's speech many times and I can tell where the resoluteness in his voice bonded the United States.

Here is the video of that speech on Dec. 8, 1941 when the United States declared ward on Japan. That was 74 years ago.
