The big story for Baylor this fall will be KBriles taking over as coordinator and having a new starting QB. McGowan is fun to talk about, but in the over all scheme of things, the season won't turn on whether McGowan makes a successful transition to his new position. It will turn on whether Russell takes the next step and if KBriles has success as the new O-coordinator.
Scrimmages can give you a rough guesstimate of what's going on, but the Bears were on public display after six practices, not at the end of spring ball. They've still got a lot of work to do. We didn't talk much about Corey Coleman, cause he went out, nailed his receptions, and they started looking at other things. Coleman's a beast. We got that, and that's the thing that's tricky about this type of scrimmage. They're throwing some guys out there and letting them get a chance to show if they can perform.
