ARTICLE LINK: Imagine if this happened...

I promise I have more preseason ideas, but I had a stressful day at my other job, so I figured I would have some fun today. I hope y'all can understand those kinds of days, haha. Anyway, these are just some possibilities that could have happened. Please let me know what y'all think!

SOCCER: Baylor falls to Nebraska

Not sure how many soccer fans we have in here, but for those that are I plan to keep y'all updated as well as possible.

The women's soccer team lost their regular season opener 2-1 to Nebraska on Sunday afternoon. The Lady Huskers scored their two goals before the thirtieth minute to take a commanding lead. Just before the end of the first half, Callie Conrad scored her first career goal for Baylor with a rebound header off the crossbar. Nebraska dominated possession in the second half and shots on goal were limited. Makinzie Short had an excellent second half in net, making 12 saves to keep the Bears in the game, but the offense could not generate many more chances, and Baylor fell to 0-1.

They will face Texas A&M on Saturday at 7 p.m.

ARTICLE LINK: Aranda gives update two weeks before opener

I know y'all are sick of me apologizing, but I have to do it again. Due to heat, the practice schedule changed on me and Aranda actually spoke on FRIDAY before the intersquad on Saturday. This missed me completely, so it is a day late. I'm sincerely sorry about that. But here it is, a transcribed interview with Coach Aranda.

Also, in this interview Aranda mentions that Offensive Line coach Eric Mateos is dealing with a death in the family. Keep him and his family in your prayers.

A humble request

I know that the transition from Kevin to myself has been sub-par at best. I won't make any excuse for that, it is entirely my fault. I have dropped the ball on this transition and I take full responsibility. I sincerely apologize for the shortness of content y'all have received in the past month and a half.

With that said, I believe I have found a steady rhythm of giving y'all content on a daily basis. However, I want to humbly ask you all if you are ok with me taking Sundays off. The way I see this job is that you are all my bosses. I answer not just to Rivals, but to all of you, and I want to make this page worthy of the money that you pay. But I also want to balance time to grow in my faith, and spend time with my family on Sundays after church.

Of course, if there is breaking news, or something else that deserves attention, I will surrender some time on Sundays if it is so called, but I also want to make sure that I am giving my family the time that they desire from me. With the season starting, the Baylor Bears will be my first priority, but there are other aspects of my life that I do not want to neglect.

On top of that, I know y'all have expectations you want me to meet, and I want to meet all of your expectations and concerns. I am always open to private messages on where you think I could pay more attention, and where I could use improvement in my coverage. I don't just want to be good for you, I want to be the best. But I just ask that y'all give me some grace on Sundays.

If the consensus says no to this request, then I will honor it and stay active. I just wanted to run this by y'all.

God Bless, and Sic'em Bears!

The 6'1, 185 lb wideout is coming off of a state championship season in Aledo. The HS sophomore had already held offers from Arkansas, Colorado State, Grambling, Oklahoma State, Penn State, TCU and Texas.

At this particular moment I am out of office, give me an hour and I'll get his page updated.
