I was up late trying to make sure I had this ready for y'all in the morning, and I meant to put it on a delayed posting for around 10 a.m. but of course I once again managed to screw up the simplest of tasks. Here is the Week 2 player spotlight! These two are coming off of the bench and have their chance to make a case for starting roles.

Aranda confirmed the following injuries during his press conference

Blake Shapen will be out 2-3 weeks with an MCL injury
Garmon Randolph will be out for 1-2 weeks with a high ankle sprain
Devin Lemear will be out 2-3 weeks with a dislocated elbow

After last week, I'm a little surprised it's that close. What do y'all think?

Sources are saying that Baylor and Michigan State are finalizing a deal to play at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit on December 16. No timetable on official announcement

It has been mentioned that hopefully the Bears do not have to show their whole playbook against TX State Saturday.

I am guessing that Utah will have to show almost all against Florida.

Finished this and posted yesterday afternoon but I forgot to put it up here once I got back to my other job. Here are two players that will make the most difference against Texas State with the schemes they run.

Was kinda worried about JT Woods with Chargers, but maybe he is ok.

James Lynch is out for the season with a knee. He may get cut/injury settlement, hard to say.

As previously mentioned, Bryvion Roy was cut by the Bears as well.

Not a great day to be a Bear. Bernard, Ika, Pitre, Xavien and Hasty all appear to be safe, as expected. Grayland Arnold I think as well. I edited to remove Ben Sims from list. Mixed reports on his status. Also, Tyquan Thornton. Healthy, he is on the team. He may be on the practice squad. Not sure. Plus half the long snappers in the league are Baylor guys, it seems.

Jaylan Beckley, out of Trinity Christian-Addison, has announced on twitter that he has received an official offer from Baylor.

He measures in at 6'5 300 lbs and has played on both offensive and defensive line for his entire career. According to our Rivals database, he is being recruited for the offensive line.

Was with Panthers for a number of years before Bears

Had a busy morning, thanks for your patience. I should have a player spotlight or two for this week's game up in a couple of hours! Still working on finding visiting recuits.
