Baylor made a big recruiting splash for its 2024 class on Saturday when highly touted DeSoto linebacker Brandon Booker announced his commitment to the Bears.
Dave Aranda's program beat out the likes of LSU, Auburn, Texas A&M, Oklahoma State and Michigan State. He's the fourth addition to the class.
Booker developed a pretty solid relationship with new Baylor linebackers coach Christian Robinson.
"How they were with me,'' Booker said. "They're not far and everything else.'
During DeSoto's run to the 2022 Class 6A Division II state championship, Booker led the Eagles in tackles (137) and was crazy balanced with 69 solos and 68 assists. That also included 9.5 tackles for loss.
He also created turnovers tying for the team-high with four interceptions to go along with a fumble recovery.
Rated the No, 97 player in Texas, Rivals ranks Booker as the No. 39 outside linebacker in the country.
