Since we last talked to Katy RB Kyle Porter at the state 7-on-7 championships not a lot has changed, and Porter does not talk a lot about his recruiting process. At the state 7-on-7 championships he mentioned Oregon, Arkansas, Baylor, TCU, and Texas as schools recruiting him the hardest and schools he wanted to visit. He had already visited Oregon and he has since visited Texas and TCU. It's safe to say all three have made a very strong impression. He has not had a chance to visit Baylor and Arkansas but they are still very much schools to watch.
Porter didn't talk much recruiting tonight, but he did say he had not trimmed his list. Also during the season Porter is focused on Katy and another championship. He does not plan to take any official visits or make a college decision during the season, which is what he stated at the Texas State 7-on-7 Championships.
Speaking of the season, Porter and Katy opened with a 46-0 win over Kingwood tonight. Porter had three touchdowns before halftime.
