It's that time of week again people. It's time to hear my thoughts. This is a special edition because it's been a crazy few weeks around the program.

We'll first get the jukebox cranked up with one of my all-time favorites. Let's get Scandal cranked up.

I know some of you millenials get all jacked up on your Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Justin Bieber, and all those other divas. But can any of those jokers give you the amazing combination of dancing and singing of one Patty Smyth? I don't think so. I've been known to drop some of these sweet moves after Vikings victories, which are pretty much every week in the fall/winter.

Team Notes:

I know things are crazy with the football team right now, but let's wait until this process plays out before we make any rash judgments. It may seem weird that a Baylor assistant coach would be doing anything other than recruiting on a bye weekend, but these guys have lives too and if their lives take them to the Tulsa sideline, then so be it.

Look for the offense to score a bunch of points, and the defense to give up a bunch of points but not as many points as the offense scores. The defense is a work in progress, but if we can manage to not have guys suspended, we can get back to having the starters be the ones to get burned deep instead of the backups.

Look for Chris Johnson to play some tight end because somebody has to do it, and he drew the short straw in practice last Tuesday.

The practices are pretty much closed to the media this time of year, but I got an anonymous source to indicate that one of the activities done in practice was make the guys break team rules to do sprints all practice. The source the coaches were all gassed by the end of practice too.

Big XII Power Rankings

1. Minnesota: No explanation necessary

2. Baylor: Default team here because their guys are coming back from suspensions while TCU's guys aren't coming back from injury.

3. TCU: They still are a major threat offensively.

4. OU: They let down against Tulsa, but that's to be expected after the gutsy comeback in Knoxville last week.

5. West Virginia: The Eers are here to stay people.

6. Oklahoma State: They've gotten off to a hot start, and will probably steamroll a crappy Texas team.

7. Texas Tech: Apparently Kingsbury had asses on his mind after the game because he couldn't stop talking about them. A particularly big one was in the crosshairs.

8. Kansas State: Don't sleep on the SnyderCats.

9. Minnesota's Redshirts: You know it's true.

10. Iowa State: Is Paul Rhoads still the coach? Does it matter?

11. Kansas: They're terrible.

I don't think I left anyone out, but if I did, you can slot them behind Minnesota's 2017 recruiting class.

NFL Talk:

The Cowboys are off to a 2-0 start, and you didn't get Adrian Peterson so suck it.

The Texans are off to an 0-2 start. I don't remember who their QB is, but I'm sure he's not the answer.

RGIII to the Cowboys? Probably not, but we'll see if he lands elsewhere.

The Vikings started their journey of winning 18 straight with a convincing win over the Lions.

NFL Predictions:

NFC North Champ: Vikings

All the other divisions: Doesn't matter

MVP: Adrian Peterson

Defensive Player of the Year: Everson Griffen

Coach of the Year: Zimmer

Super Bowl: Vikings over the who cares.

Final Thoughts:

With Donovan Duvernay in the fold, expect the full-court press on Devin to come to the Bears. I would say that Baylor has the advantage, but recruiting is weird right?
