1. Defense is definitely ahead of the offense. Lots of 3-4 with the linebacker group probably being the strength of the unit. Back 7 has a chance to be as good as any in the Briles era. We also seem to have more quality depth in the secondary than in the past.

2. Lots of good looking specimens for the OL but they definitely need to find the right combo and still needs lots of work to gel into a cohesive unit.

3. Hasty is going to be a weapon for this offense especially out of the backfield catching the ball. Terrance Williams looks like he has dropped 10 pounds and looked quicker than last year.

4. Jarrett looked average at best. Some of this was probably due to the OL play not being consistent enough but he did miss several throws where receivers were open. We need Seth to fully recover and play at the level he was when he went out.

5. We still need a kicker.

6. As we left the stadium my wife said " well that didn't exactly leave me feeling overly optimistic." I have to agree. Lots of work to be done on the OL and hope we don't have any significant injuries on the DL next year as we are thin on front line quality players there. Briles and Clements have always got it done on the offensive side of the ball so I hope that rings true come this fall. Crazy to think that I actually might feel better about the defense than the offense going into this upcoming season. Can't wait for late August to get here.
