Obviously, the biggest story this week is Blake Shapen being named the #1 QB and Gerry Bohanon entering the portal, so we spent the majority of the podcast on that.
Kevin updates us on the new basketball point guard, Dantwan Grimes, and we follow up with our guesses on which Baylor players get taken in the NFL draft.

Gerry Bohanon
With Bohanon entering the portal, the Bears are dealing with the same problem they had when Jarrett Stidham, Zach Smith, Charlie Brewer and Jacob Zeno became dissatisfied. This isn't unique to Baylor, as quarterbacks leave when they see the writing on the wall. It's part of the new world of college football.
Aranda has received a lot of kudos for notifying Bohanon while he still had time to enter the portal, and he deserves it. However, the move also had a practical aspect. With the transfer portal, coaches have to put more effort into treating players well. Aranda made it clear he will not trap a player in the program if the player wants to leave. The prospects considering Baylor see that. Baylor gained much more long term by making this move than they would have made ensuring they had a disgruntled back up QB going into the season.
We discuss C. J. Rogers and Kyron Drones. With one pass, Rogers got more attention than any Baylor walk on has gotten in recent memory. Kevin gives a great synopsis of Rogers' background, and what we might expect from him in the future.
