Passing along a few tidbits that we've picked up.
>As for the defensive line, the early reports about JUCO DT transfer Jeremy Faulk sound promising. From what we understand his ability to move/run is an element in his game to watch. He's not just someone who is going to sit in the middle and plug up gaps. There may not be that much of a drop off from Andrew Billings. But we're not going to get into that comparison because that's really not fair to either side.
>Like we mentioned in last week's preview, K.J. Smith is playing a little more defensive end. Personally, that's the move that should be made with Faulk on campus and DeQuinton Osborn arriving this summer.
>How much 3-4 will Baylor play this year? Should be interesting. But consider there are some lighter guys who can run off the edge like Travon Blanchard and possibly Taylor Young.
>Patrick Levels continues to be the No. 2 NB like last year. We understand Terrence Singleton had to leave campus over the weekend. Not sure about his return. Have no idea if this is related to his possible transfer.
>If you remember when WR Blake Lynch made play after play in the Class 4A state championship game in 2014 -- a catch and run that went about 65 yards -- that's what you could see from him this year. He has the versatility so Baylor QBs can throw deep to him or use those screens to where one block sets up something huge. Everything points to him being a valued part of this offense in 2016. Among all the known names, part of me believes Lynch shines this fall.
>It's too early to tell where RB JaMycal Hasty fits into all of this. Running back is Baylor's deepest position with Shock Linwood, Johnny Jefferson, Devin Chafin and Terence Williams.
