DB Ryan Reid (hernia) is expected to return to spring workouts Monday. Obviously, he will be watched closely. We mentioned in the Thoughts that the same is true for DE Shaw Oakman (wrist).

RB Devin Chafin, WRs Davion Hall and Quan Jones are also practicing after dealing some injuries.

It was pretty brief with Art Briles but here are a couple of highlights:
We're anxious to get back and get going again. It's always a fresh feeling when you start again after any little break. Two or three days to us feels like a month.

Our first day there was snow on the ground at noon and then we got to come out in the afternoon. We're excited and everybody's anxious to get back going.

(Friday scrimmage) I think it's a great thing for our fans, alumni and recruits. Just to get over to the stadium is something we haven't been able to do and we're able to do now. I think it will be a great atmosphere.

(Position battles) I don't know if they will be figured out (by the end of spring). Those will be ongoing throughout fall camp. We'll get a general idea on 90 percent of them. From an offensive standpoint with personnel packages that all changes as far as who we're going to put on the field at what positions.

Oakman will be limited, Ryan Reid will be back and limited (at practice). Chafin will be back and limited. Davion Hall and Quan Jones are back. We're getting our guys back.
