We get you ready for another major road test for the Bears.

Baylor wins at Iowa State for the second consecutive season. Iowa State has won 30 of its last 32 games at Hilton. Baylor has the other two and has won three straight against the Cyclones. Some post game thoughts.

>Now, that was impressive. Easily the best win of the season. Twice, the Bears overcame 12-point deficits in this game. They were down 20-8 and 52-40. They used an 11-0 run midway through the second half to tie this game, 58-58. Down 73-70, they then went on a 10-0 run to take control of this, 80-73.

>Baylor wins this game at foul line. The Bears were 10-12 inside the final minute and the last miss really didn't matter because it was over. For the game, Baylor was 20-26 (.769).

>This game had very similar qualities that last year's game had. The Bears were down big, fought their way back into it in the middle of the second half and then ran away. Same thing here. Even when they were down big, I just had this sense that if they could hang around and not fall further than 12, they could stay in this. And when they cut it to 28-26, they knew they could win this. They trailed 38-34 at the half. This team showed great composure down by 12 in the second half. Possession by possession, it just chipped away and got some stops. Iowa State just plays a style that can keep a solid offensive team in it. Despite its struggles at time, Baylor is a good offensive team. That's why the Bears were never out of it.

>The key in the second half as Fran Fraschilla pointed out when the Baylor played the unorthodox triangle and two where they limited how many touches Georges Niang could get, it really made a difference. Freshman Jake Lindsey did some very good work on the defense end.

>This team had three players pull off double doubles. Taurean Prince was 17 points and 10 rebounds. Johnathan Motley was 27 points and 13 rebounds. Lester Medford was 16 points and 11 assists. Baylor had not done that since Dec. 18, 2013 against Northwestern State.

>You cannot say enough about how Lester Medford's game has flipped from 2014-15 to 2015-16. He's valuing the ball, getting people in the right spot, is patient and takes good shots. No turnovers today. NO TURNOVERS! On the road. And in a hostile environment. Teams better start getting after him when he catches the ball in the corner on the right baseline. He's nails from there.

>I've been critical of Motley's play and how he was somewhat of a no show. But his body type matches up pretty well with ISU's Jameel McKay who is built the same way. You really hope that this is a turning point for him because if Baylor is going to be a contender for the conference title, the bench will be important. He was amazing at 13-15 from the field.

>Prince should feel a lot better about things. For a guy shooting 40 percent for the season, he had a very good shooting performance at 7-of-13.

>T.J. Maston continues to grow up in front of our eyes. He's been really good for the last two weeks and added 13. He'll be Gathers replacement because he's the thick player. These are good minutes he's getting and he's taking advantage of it.

>Notable - forgettable night for Rico Gathers at 4 points and five rebounds...the Bears outrebounded the Cyclones, 40-34.

>Baylor plays host to TCU at 7:15 pm Wednesday at the Ferrell Center.
