This was pretty much an exhibition for the No. 2 Bears from the opening tap. They jumped out to a 15-2 lead, extended it to 33-4 and led by as many as the final score.
Everybody who played scored in this one including center Zach Loveday, guard LJ Cryer and forward Matthew Mayer who combined for 35 points. Cryer led everyone in scoring with 15 points. This guarantee game played out exactly as Baylor head coach Scott Drew said he envisioned.
Baylor's efficiency on offense continued as it committed only five turnovers and had 25 assists that led to 37 made baskets. Jared Butler's floor game continues to excel with seven more assists against just one turnover. In his last two games, Butler has 20 helpers and just two miscues.
Drew praised how Butler's game continues to mature from that standpoint from high risk, high reward to a more settled approach.
Mark Vital left the game in the first half with a lower left leg contusion. But he was held out as a precaution. Baylor shot 52 percent from the floor and 47 percent from 3-point range.

Notable: The Bears are off for Christmas break - the players who have been in Waco since late May will get to return home to spend a few days with family before they return - until the resumes Dec. 29 against Central Arkansas.
