RT: Patrick Lawrence (RS Soph)
-Big kid. Very athletic. Coaches seem to be high on him. Can he lock down the right side?
Dom Desouza (RS Jr)
- Even bigger kid. Boarder line giant. Can he play?
Riley Daniel (RS Fr)
- Late signee. Coming off injury (maybe from high school, so should be good...?) Where does he fit in position wise?
RG: Brandon Autry (Jr)
- By all accounts, this is a 'plug and play' situation. Word is he's nasty. This seems to be the trait that we desire the most. Can he step in an go?
Josh Pelzel (RS Soph)
- Huge kid. Another year to develop at this position. Adds quality depth.
C: Kyle Fuller (RS Sr)
- Should be a Remington finalist. Might be the best Center at Baylor when it's all said and done. He improved TREMENDOUSLY this year. Hope he takes it even further. Probably the nastiest soft spoken guy we've had.
Rami Hammad (RS Jr)
- Highly recruited. We all know the story. Quality depth here and seems to have the nasty trait.
Sean Muir (RS Jr)
- Does he survive the turk?
LG: Blake Blackmar (RS Soph)
- Future Pro. The next decorated lineman coming up. So glad he's a bear. Too good to backup at Center. They've already shown that.
Tanner Thrift (RS Jr)
- Converted to OL. Can he hold the job as a backup?
Patrick Hudson (True Fr)
- Does he RS or not? If Thrift and Pelzel can manage, we'd love to RS him. But he'll get a long look.
LT: Ishmael Wilson (RS Jr)
- He will start somewhere. Is it T or G? He is the nastiest guy we have. Flat out mean. Colbert type attitude but more skilled IMO.
Maurice Porter (RS Jr)
- If he doesn't start that means we're really good upfront. I think Wilson, Porter and Lawrence will be the top 3 tackles and the battle should be very competitive.
J.P. Urquidez (True Fr)
-Very talented. Huge. Would be great if we can RS him. Looks like we will.
Looks like they'll find the 5 nastiest and figure out where to play them. Would love to RS both coming in if we can. Also would love to sign on more interior guy but I bet we're closed here. Next year's class will need some hogs. I feel like we have 6 guys who are ready to roll, but we need 2 more to take that step.
In 2 years, we will be nationally recognized (even more) for having the biggest and most dominant offensive line in the country. Mark that down. It's ridiculous when you look at how big ALL of these guys are. Muir is the runt and he's not small by normal standards...
Pair this with the talent on our offense and I think in two years we'll be in the discussion again for the big one. We'll have an outside chance next year too, but 2017-18 will be a huge year.
