Baylor resumes the stretch run of the spring football season on Thursday. Just a couple of quick notes:
>Progress continues with junior safety Taion Sells. There seems to be the thinking he can be more of contributor in the secondary. Sells had four tackles and an interception in the Friday Night Lights event and was taking some good angles. His ability to be comfortable roaming was noticeable.
>That MLB spot is going to be fun to watch once the depth chart is released. Senior Grant Campbell was limited to 15 total tackles in 2014 but seems to be making the case to be the starter. He had seven tackles in FNL and it sounds like the second half of his spring is going very well. It appears it's going to be close between him, Aiavion Edwards and Kendall Ehrlich to see who grabs the No. 1 position.
>OL Blake Muir is dealing with a finger injury. It isn't impacting performance but it is nagging. Sounds like there are some depth matters (pretty typical in spring) to shore up with the second team. But not too many concerns about what happened this past Friday.
>Who might benefit from a potentially big year from Andrew Billings? Beau Blackshear. He's the quiet leader of this line, but if Billings really erupts, there are many expectations that Blackshear could well surpass his production numbers from 2014 (44 total tackles, 9.5 TFL and 4.5 sacks).
