TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Baylor junior wide receiver Corey Coleman was named one of 10 semifinalists for the 2015 Biletnikoff Award, the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation, Inc., announced Tuesday.

The Biletnikoff Award has been presented annually to the nation's outstanding college football receiver since 1994.

This season, Coleman leads the country in receiving yards per game (136.6) and touchdown receptions (20). The Richardson, Texas, native has re-written the BU record books, breaking Kendall Wright’s school single season (14) and career (30) receiving TD records. Coleman now sits with 20 on the year and 33 for his career.

Coleman set a new Big 12 record by catching multiple TDs in seven consecutive games and has at least one TD catch in eight of nine games this season.

Nationally, Coleman is also second in scoring (13.3 ppg) and third in receiving yards (1,229), while playing one less game than the two receivers in front of him. He ranks first in the FBS in catches of 20+ yards (22) and 30+ yards (19) and second in 40+ (10) and 60+ (3) yard catches.

Earlier this month, Coleman recorded the eighth 1,000-yard receiving season in program history and became the first player in program history with multiple 1,000-yard receiving seasons (had 1,119 in 2014).

Coleman is the featured receiver in the nation's most prolific offense, which leads the country with 54.8 points per game and 637.9 total yards per game and is 11th in passing yards per game with 345.7.

The junior is Baylor’s fourth Biletnikoff semifinalist in the last five years and first since Antwan Goodley was one in 2013. Only Terrance Williams in 2012 has gone on to become a finalist for the honor, while Wright started the semifinalist streak in 2011.

Coleman is one of three receivers from the Big 12 to make the final 10 list (TCU’s Josh Doctson and Oklahoma's Sterling Shepard) for the honor named after Florida State's National Football Foundation and College Football Hall of Famer Fred Biletnikoff.

The next step in the award process is a fan vote that will help determine the top three finalists. To vote for Coleman, click here (http://biletnikoffaward.com/fan-vote). Voting will close on Nov. 22 and the national selection committee's top three finalists will be announced on Nov. 24. The Biletnikoff Award winner will be announced live on ESPN's The Home Depot College Football Awards Show on Dec. 10. For more information on the award visit BiletnikoffAward.com.

Coleman is already a semifinalist for the Maxwell Award and is on the watch list for the Campbell Tyler Rose Award.

Next up for No. 10 Baylor is a trip to Stillwater, Okla., to face No. 4 Oklahoma State on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. CT on FOX.
