Both of these teams are putting together pretty solid seasons. When was the last time the volleyball team looked this good?

Volleyball

Baylor volleyball (17-6, 5-2 Big 12) dominated the final two frames, clinching a five-set road win over the Iowa State Cyclones (10-9, 2-5 Big 12), 19-25, 25-19, 26-28, 25-15, 15-6, on Wednesday evening at Hilton Coliseum.

The win for BU was the team’s fifth conference win, matching last season’s year-end Big 12 win total. The Bears also notched the first victory for the program in Ames since Oct. 29, 2005.

Baylor returns to the Ferrell Center to host the Oklahoma Sooners at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Ferrell Center.

Soccer
No. 24 Baylor (11-4-1, 4-1-1 Big 12) soccer ends regular season play this weekend with home matches on Friday at 7 p.m. CT against Iowa State and Sunday at 1 p.m. versus Kansas on FOX Sports Southwest.

* Baylor earned a No. 24 ranking in this week’s NSCAA top 25 poll, marking the first time the Bears have been ranked since the 2013 season, when BU was as high as No. 9 and low as No. 20 from Aug. 23-Oct. 4.

* Baylor has won three matches in a row for the second time this season (four, Aug. 26-Sept. 4).

* Baylor has won three straight Big 12 matches for the first time since Oct. 25-Nov. 6, 2013.
