Everything can change based on injuries and criminal charges. However, I spent most of July really looking at the Big 12 and trying to figure out this league this year. So here are my predictions for the preseason:

1. Baylor - we won't go undefeated. Russell will be great if he can stay healthy. Our defense will be much better. Key injuries to defense will make or break this year.
1. OU - Mixon, Shannon and Riley. First year new offenses (except UTs last year) can have an impact and I think OU has some big-time horses on both sides of the ball. If they can score 35+ on Baylor, TCU, TT and WVU they will win the conference.
3. TCU - something tells me that after one year the league will be prepared for TCUs offense and they were good last year because Boykin was healthy. In Patterson's own words, he doesn't have a backup QB that could lead TCU to the conference title. Truer words never spoken and prophetic for this year.
4. WVU - great defense and Holgorsen is tough to beat at home. Fortunately Baylor plays them in Waco.
5. OSU - they are a year away. QB savior only played last two games of season. I am not ready to call him the next big guy. Too many sophomore slumps, but look out in 2016.
6. UT - good enough to beat everyone below them and not good enough to beat anyone above them
7. KState - a down year in Snyder's last. He does his best to get the team ready for his son's first year if he is lucky enough to succeed him.
8. TT - KK has two good QB options and a new DC. DC, as usual, has athletes but no depth. Look for them to drop as the year goes by and injuries take their toll. Too bad Baylor plays they early.
9. ISU - as usual, plays a lot of teams close and might even beat TCU, but fades down the stretch.
10. KU - worst team since Baylor 2007
