Their dreams are becoming reality. The balance of Baylor’s 2022 signing class arrives on campus Thursday with the aspirations to become great players, help this football program maintain its status at the top of the Big 12 and to ultimately, and most importantly, come away with a degree.
As they report, SicEmSports found one more reason to touch base and get their thoughts about what they expect beyond the white lines.
“More than anything else, I wanna go to Baylor and develop as a person. I feel football will take care of itself; but going and developing into a good person then later a great man is the main thing I want to take away.
“I wouldn’t want to take anything away from this experience. This is what decides on whether or not I’m strong enough to further my career in football. I believe they will get me there and will make me a better student and an athlete. I know they care for each one of us and strive for us to succeed as a team and a family, so no I wouldn’t take anything away from this upcoming experience I’m about to take on.’’
“I want to become the best man, football player, and business man that I can possibly be.”
“Achieving my goals. Throughout this last year that I’ve been committed to Baylor, I’ve made a couple of goals for myself. The main one is to make sure I build a better relationship with my Lord & Savior and find myself the right major for my future.
“The second more important is just to become a better human being, teammate player, etc…Baylor recruited me they say potential I have that could possibly help them. So I’m going to do whatever it takes to help this team. I mean, of course, I would love to make it to the NFL. But before I leave Waco, I’d like to know that I made some type of positive impact toward the team.’’
“I just wanna have them teach me whatever they need to to make me a better tight end running back whatever position and take it to the next level. I plan on staying for a bit to get my masters and to learn and absorb every single bit of coaching from them.’’
“I’m really not sure right now.’’
“I want to become a better person and more so a better student. And I want to build some real relationships while I’m here.’’
"I just wanna grow as a person and live out my football dreams while I get coached by the great coaching staff!!!"
"Looking to continue to grow as a player and person while building relationships!!"
"Being prepared for adult hood once football is over for me."
