BASEBALL: Baylor 5, West Virginia 4

Baylor (8-13, 1-3) claimed a 5-4 victory over West Virginia (9-9, 1-3) in its Big 12 home opening series Friday evening at Baylor Ballpark. The Bears received solid relief efforts from Joe Kirkland and Sean Spicer to help secure the win.


Game 2 of the series is set for 3 pm Saturday at Baylor Ballpark.
