The LSU women's basketball team won the national championship last season, defeating Iowa in the national title game.

LSU's women's basketball program is one of the most notable in the country, led by head coach Kim Mulkey and star forward Angel Reese.

But while the LSU Tigers women's basketball program has a ton of fame, they reportedly lost a ton of money last season.


The women's basketball proram reportedly lost nearly $8 million last season.

"Women’s basketball—which won its first National Women’s Championship in 2023—posted a nearly $7.8 million deficit for 2023. The program collected just under $2.5 million in revenues for the year but the team’s expenses were closer to $10.3 million. The program’s costliest line item is for coaches salaries, with the school paying $4.4 million in coaches salaries and bonuses last year―nearly double what the program collected in revenue," Business Report wrote.

Baylor has received accolades from players and coaches for their JUNIOR DAY EXTRAVAGANZA that was held this past week-end. Numerous 3 stars were present and just as many 4 stars visited from multiple states. Two of those were SMU Commits, both 4-Star. Since the BAYLOR JR day, both have de-committed. D. Bisbane, ,QB, not only de-committed from SMU but
committed to BAYLOR. Although he has outstanding O-records, he is projected as a DB. Top RB, Rickey Stewart, 5-11, 190, chose between tx, u (down so) and SMU, has de-committed from
SMU and hopefully he will become a BAYLOR commit as well. RB coach Kenan Hall,
hired from SMU is receiving outstanding accolades for this.
The BEARS will continue to received visitors this coming week-end, hopefully with
another commit or two or more

The Bears, trailing most of the game and seemingly playing as though it would be a duplicated ending to make it four losses in a row. But T -foul and added points on the Board, Baylor resurrected and methodically pulled away and win by 8. So, let's trust the doldrums of losing are gone and all winning game forthcoming. This should have gone out way sooner, and that adds to a long list of apologies I have to make. However I was able to put this together before the new sports calendar year got too far. Here is how I see the bar for each sport.

With the lull in the basketball schedule for the next few days, I took a day to shift over to football (in which I am admittedly a better mind than basketball.) The Bears have three non-conference games this season and I took a very basic look at each of them. This is the first in a series I plan to do about the 2024 football schedule.

Though I have been absent, I have been paying attention. These last few weeks have been concerning for the Bears, to say the least. Here's how I see it.

I owe you all an explanation and an apology for my absence recently. It comes down to nothing other than my inability to manage my time effectively between my different obligations. Not only did I mismanage my time, but I completely neglected my obligation to you all who have been more than patient with me these last six months. I am sick to my stomach about that thought.

I am truly sorry to you all. It is completely wrong and unfair what I have done.

I'm not asking for your forgiveness. I do not deserve it. But I will promise that until my time comes, you will definitely hear from me once a day in one way or another.

For those that took the time to read this, thank you for your time.

I have something being thrown together right now and it will be on the main site shortly.

Steve Linton, edgte, TT, 6-5, 235, visiting starting Sunday, 1/21/24, was projected as an NFL top draft
choice but was hurt somewhat in 2023, but his potential is on the upside......So, we'll see.

So I haven't been on this site in some time, but it appears that the moderator has not been around for several days. Have the good folks at Rivals put out a message that he has been replaced or is in some way incapacitated? I don't wish ill for the young man, but it appeared that he was put in a position that he was not ready for. I place most of the blame on the higher ups at Rivals. I have moved on to another site but would be willing to stay for maybe another year if it appears that Rivals is serious about supporting a Baylor site. My subscription is up at the end of February and I don't see much point in renewing if Rivals doesn't step up.

The Portal keeps getting bigger and understand that the after Spring Portal may be bigger than ever.
The coaches are evaluating each new entry for need and depth. There are some outstanding players
in the Portal and more will be soon........and the BEARS have signed some starters with more to come.

Welcome to the Big 12 Houston. Sitting pretty on top at 3-0, but trips to Manhattan and Austin will really give us a feel for what we have. Our non conference was challenging, but no true road games on an opposing campus made us look not great against OSU.

Big week for the Bears to make a statement outside the Pavilion.
