Some foreigners ran in circles and kicked a ball around and the crowd cheered a lot especially when it appeared that snipers had shot a player. Alas, after several minutes of rolling on the turf in agony, they arose to run around and kick the ball some more. At the end, the referee said the score was 1 to 1, and this was apparently big news. In related news, @timfwilliams went to Spain to watch the game. But the game was played in Russia. I believe this may have had something to do with a girl. A Spanish girl. And no soccer was watched. Though running in circles, kicking balls and rolling on the floor in agony may have been involved.
