Our colleagues at Orangebloods spoke with a source close to Silsbee OL Patrick Hudson. Basically, the essence of this is that Hudson remains leaning toward signing with Baylor. Of course, there's going to be serious communication between now and Wednesday.

"Patrick is still leaning towards Baylor. A lot of schools have still been talking with him. He thinks they're all good schools, so it's a really challenging decision. He really did enjoy himself at Texas and Baylor and Georgia," the source told OB

We reported Wednesday that the things appeared solid.

"I think he's kind of finalized it. He's probably going to go with Baylor. "But he knows he has a lot of good opportunities out there. All of them are very good schools, but right now he's really leaning towards Baylor.

"But you just never know. He's prayed about it. Nowadays just never know. He'll just wait until Feb. 3 before making anything final."

As for Brandon Jones and Parrish Cobb, we know Cobb is still on campus. We heard it was a really good weekend for all parties. It makes sense Cobb is there since he's a local kid. Cobb has said he will decide between Baylor and Oklahoma, where he's currently committed.

Texas A&M is trying to make a late run. We'll see what that means. Jones will announce at 9:00 am Wednesday on ESPNU.

No word on Kligore College DT Dequinton Osborne and his commitment status.

Also checked with sources on whether Cibolo Steele DE and A&M commit Mark Jackson would swing by Waco following his OV to Oklahoma. It looks unlikely at this point. Baylor appears to be on the outside looking in

UPDATE: 2:35 pm...As it turned out, Jackson stopped by Baylor when he was on his way to Norman Friday. The family went to visit the business school. Was told that it went well. What that means for NSD? My guess is as good as yours.

UPDATE: 9:45 pm... JUCO OL Malcolm Pridgeon took his OV to Ohio State this weekend. No commitment. But the Florida folks believe they are out of it. This race is between Ohio State and Baylor. Now, it would appear that the Buckeyes have the slim lead for the heralded JUCO OL.

But Ohio State's situation with Pridgeon is going to come down to what the Buckeyes do with other prospects in play. This could be known either late Monday or Tuesday.

UPDATE: 10:00 pm...Rockford MI PK Quinn Nordin is back from his OV to Michigan. We know that our Midwest regional analyst Josh Hemholdt has been trying to reach him as well as our USC colleagues. Keep in mind, we told you early in the week that we got the impression from those we spoke with that Baylor didn't feel really confident it was going to land Nordin. From within the last day, the belief is still that Michigan has the lead followed by Baylor and then USC.

We'll keep you posted.
