The fifth-ranked Baylor Lady Bears will host the DePaul Blue Demons in the Preseason WNIT championship, Sunday, Nov. 22, at 2:00 p.m. (CT)
Sixteenth-year head coach Kim Mulkey's Lady Bear squad posted a 66-63 victory over 19th-ranked USF in Thursday's Preseason WNIT semifinal contest.
All-American junior forward Nina Davis and junior guard Alexis Jones lead the Lady Bears on the season with 14.7 and 10.3 points per game, respectively. Senior point guard Niya Johnson leads the team in rebounding with 6.7 a contest, she also averages 8.3 points and 7.7 assists a game. Freshman post Kalani Brown is averaging 8.0 points and 6.0 rebounds an outing.
DePaul, ranked No. 19 in the USA Today Coaches Poll, downed Indiana, 84-69, to advance to the Preseason WNIT finals. Blue Demon head coach Doug Bruno's squad has six players, including all five starters, averaging double-digit scoring. They are led by senior guard/forward Megan Podkowa's 15.7 points and 9.3 rebounds a game.

• 2006 - 16th-ranked BU defeated North Texas (84-47), Hofstra (81-71) and BYU (84-58) before falling to 12th-ranked Purdue, 60-55, in the championship game.
• 2011 - Top-ranked Baylor claimed the championship with wins over Howard (82-28), Chattanooga (91-31), No. 22 UCLA (83-50), and second-ranked Notre Dame (94-81).
• 2015 - Baylor defeated UT Arlington, 62-20, in first round action, downed Southern Miss, 97-42, in the quarterfinals and posted a 66-63 semifinal win over USF.
