Apparently, as the season of the Golden Gophers goes, so goes ours. Or, at least the perception of ours versus the perception of TCU's.
You'll be happy to know, then, that the Glorious Golden Gophers (apologies, Kev-Bo) were able to rally late to hold off the upset bid by Ohio (not state) University, 27-24.
Further cementing their status as an elite P5 contender, the GGG's are ranked 78th in passing yards, at 219.5 YPG, and 85th in rushing, with 158.0 ypg. They're scoring at a torrid 19.0 ppg, but it should be noted that their defense, including that "rout" by TCU, is only yielding 18.5 ppg and is the 31st ranked unit in the nation.
