With the passing of Frank Gifford, the most memorable broadcast crew of Monday Night Football has all passed away. For better or worse, they changed the way broadcast announcing was done. While Keith Jackson was the third broadcaster in the booth for the first year, Don Meredith, Frank Gifford, and Howard Cosell were the team that everyone remembers.
For me, I loved Meredith, hated Cosell, and never noticed Gifford one way or the other.
Aside from appearing on MNF, Gifford was noted as being an NFL Hall of Famer, and nearly getting killed by Chuck Bednarik
