The Rivals.com national team updated the Rivals100 and Rivals250 rankings, plus the position rankings and state of Texas Top 100 this past week.

Let’s take a look at where the current Baylor commitments and prospects the coaches are targeting for the 2016 class landed in the latest rankings.

Rivals250 – Current Commits

OL Patrick Hudson – No. 29

Hudson is often rumored to be open and planning visits, but those continue to be rumors until the Rivals100 prospect starts to step foot on other campuses this fall. The 6-foot-5, 330-pound lineman is a longtime commit and remains firmly committed to Baylor.

OL J.P. Urquidez – No. 164

Urquidez is another prospect with a solid commitment to Baylor, and the 6-foot-7, 300-pound tackle plans on being back in Waco as much as possible during this season for games.

RB Kameron Martin – No. 232

Martin remains in the Rivals250 and is rated as one of the top all-purpose backs in the nation. A very public ‘BU’ logo tattoo on his arm was debuted at the program’s ‘Meet The Bears’ event this past month, so it’s abundantly clear where Martin’s heart lies.

Rivals250 – Current Targets

TE Isaac Nauta – No. 18

Nauta took an unofficial visit to Baylor this summer and has mentioned a potential official visit to Waco this fall since reopening his recruiting, decommitting from Florida State.

DB Brandon Jones – No. 31

The Bears made Jones’ recently released Top 6 and the standout safety took an unofficial visit to Waco this summer. Time will tell if he makes another trip to the Baylor campus for a game this fall.

DE Brandon Bowen – No. 55

Bowen recently told Rivals.com that his top two programs are Baylor and USC. It seems that Baylor is in the driver’s seat with Bowen, a tremendously athletic prospect with freaklsh ability, for the time being.

WR Devin Duvernay – No. 66

Duvernay recently released his Top 10 going into the season and included Baylor. The Bears were the first program to offer and the electric receiver would be an ideal fit for what the Baylor coaches do on offense.

DE McTelvin Agim – No. 72

Agim lists a Top 4 of Baylor, Texas A&M, Ole Miss and Arkansas. He is set to announce his decision tomorrow, and we believe that Arkansas is the team to beat here.

ATH Shyheim Carter – No. 76

Carter recently reopened his recruitment, decommitting from Alabama, and took an unofficial visit to the Baylor campus. He plans to take other visits, but the coaches have been recruiting Carter for quite some time and his preferences could be on the offensive side of the ball.

LB Michael Divinity – No. 100

Divinity has not ruled Baylor out at this point, but did not mention the Bears when discussing possible official visit plans. He did take an unofficial visit to the Baylor campus this spring and we need to see where things stand with him lately.

DT Chris Daniels – No. 176

Daniels mentioned to our team that he planned to release a Top 5 last week, but that never happened. I fully expect Baylor to be included for the standout defensive lineman and an official visit to Waco will follow this fall.

DE Isaiah Chambers – No. 178

Chambers mentioned plans to officially visit Baylor sometime this season in a recent interview. TCU, Washington, Texas A&M and Michigan are the main competition for his commitment.

WR Tyrie Cleveland – No. 190

Cleveland mentioned that he plans to officially visit Waco this past weekend. I believe Florida and Arizona State hold an advantage in his recruitment, with the possibility of Texas A&M gaining ground as well, but a visit to campus can always change things.
