However, Baylor may have found a long/deep snapper in Southlake Christian Academy Chris Lutzel (5-11, 220) who it out of Charlotte, N.C. He was on the Baylor campus last week and announced his decision to attend Baylor Monday.
I know Jimmy Landes completed his junior year. Of course, you can never have enough quality options at this position because their accuracy is vital for special teams. The only time you think of them is on a bad one.
Had a HS coach who knew his sons were not gifted athletically to play D1. But he told them that if they wanted to play D1, they could specialize in this thankless skill and get a chance. I think it worked out for them. Sometimes, schools will give scholarships for this position.
