Woods is coming off an incredible 2021 season where he collected seven turnovers and turned two of them into touchdowns. He had six interceptions - two in the Sugar Bowl against Ole Miss - to lead the Big 12 and had a fumble recovery.
His first INT was a pick6 in the opener against Texas State. His fumble return went for 97 yards and a score against Texas Southern. Woods was an honorable mention Big 12 selection.
Rookie wage deals have been set since 2011. According to Spotrac, Woods is projected to received a contract of about $5.2 million with a signing bonus of in excess of $1 million from the Chargers.
