Now, we'll see if the wheels really start turning with DBU's Dan Heefner and Houston's Todd Whitting for the Baylor vacancy. Ian McCaw likely has other candidates.

You know part of me wonders if he would go back down the road to McClennan and look at Mitch Thompson. Thompson did a great job there this year at 41-20 and many believe he was the reason Baylor had had so much success with recruiting. It may not have been a coincidence that when he left, the talent dropped.

BTW, TCU's the lone Big 12 team standing. The Horned Frogs needed a rally in the late innings and then won their game against NC State, 9-8, to advance to the Super Regionals. Not a great baseball year for the Big 12 anyway. Oklahoma State didn't protect its home field in its regional and Texas was out. Nobody else made the field.
