Sorry this is a little late. I was tracking the OV weekend.

You never know what you're going to find on the road in the Big 12, except a war. But that's what Baylor ran into at Texas Tech. But the Bears now have run their winning streak to four games. They’ve also won their last two road games including Iowa State on Jan. 9.
>The last 8.1 seconds is all you need to know about the value of a really good point guard. He's calm in the moment. He understands the options…the best-case scenario or worst-case scenario. He believes he will make the right play. So does his team. That’s exactly what the Bears have in senior point guard Lester Medford. After Tech tied the game, 60-60 with 21 seconds to go, the Bears called timeout with the ball on their end of the floor with 8.1 seconds to play. Medford drove to the top, moved a little to right, cleared just enough space and calmly dropped the game-winning 3-pointer as time expired.
>After a pretty well executed first half when they held a 36-29 lead at the intermission, this was not a good second half for the Bears. Possessions were wasted (14 turnovers against 10 assists). They weren’t very good at the free throw line (8-15). Sometimes the 1-3-1 looked OK. Sometimes the 1-3-1 allowed too much dribble penetration and then good looks from the baseline. But that’s the way it is with life on the road in the Big 12. It’s never going to be easy on the road. This was tight throughout. The Bears went on a key 8-0 run to take a 58-51 lead before Tech responded with a 9-2 run to create the thrilling finish.
>Medford didn’t have his best day with five assists and four turnovers. But what you want to see is how mentally tough your point guard is when it’s not a good day. He showed me more in this game than maybe at Iowa State.
>Before Medford’s basket, the last bucket for the Bears was Terry Maston. His only bucket in the second half (12 points for the game and 10 in the first half) was pretty clutch – a little 4-footer as the shot clock wound down. It’s pretty telling when Maston is in the game at crunch time. He has earned this staff’s trust. This is four times in five games he has reached double figures.
>The diversity of the offense is interesting in that Taurean Prince hasn’t been in double figures in the last two games. For a guy who has pro aspirations, the unselfishness is something to behold. Prince had seven points against the Red Raiders.
>When you watch Al Freeman, take a good look at the first step when he drives to the lane. It’s a bolt. He’s a scorer. He took a couple of bad shots. But he led the team with 14 points.
>NOTABLE: Baylor was outrebounded 28-27…the Bears are 15-4 against the Red Raiders since 2008 but trail the all-time series, 55-76…with five assists, Baylor is 23-2 in its last five games when Medford reaches that figure...Rico Gathers 13 rebounds and seven assists.
>Baylor returns to the Ferrell Center at 7:15 Wednesday to take on Kansas State. The Bears are undefeated at home at 12-0.
