Just some things to be aware of. Don't forget our tailgate. Just walk by and say hello.
WACO, Texas - The two-time defending Big 12 champion Baylor football team will hold its annual spring scrimmage, Friday, March 20, at 7:30 p.m. CT, at McLane Stadium.
Admission to the event is free, and 2015 Baylor football schedule posters will be available. Parking in any of McLane Stadium's lots is open to the public. Gates to the stadium will open at 6:30 p.m. However, tailgating will begin in the South Plaza well before then with inflatables opening for children at 5:30 p.m.
This marks the first year the spring scrimmage will be held at McLane Stadium. Along with a location change, the scrimmage will not mark the end of Baylor's spring drills as in past years. BU is in the midst of a spring practice schedule that began Feb. 24 and will end on April 2. Friday's scrimmage will mark the eighth date on the Bears' spring calendar.
Head coach Art Briles opens his eighth season in 2015 with a roster made up of 17 returning starters and 56 returning lettermen from last year's Big 12 co-championship team. Baylor finished the 2014 season ranked seventh nationally, the highest final ranking in school history, and played in a New Year's Six bowl (Cotton), its school-record fifth-straight bowl appearance.
