Fascinating on how FDR still could be a shrewd leader in his later terms despite his numerous health issues. Great leader in WWII.
I’ve read a book on his relationship with Churchill. But this was really the first time I’ve had some insight on his rapport with Stalin, who stunningly showed empathy FDR’s deteriorating health.
The New Deal was well…..yeahhhhh. However, he was primarily responsible for pushing and reinforcing the notion that the United States should be a global power. Beyond comprehension how the isolationists still wanted the country to stay that way even when Germany attacked Great Britain.
On to the next one.
