>QB Seth Russell has said that nothing about the starting QB position has been mentioned. So he knows it's a competition.
>Just a lot of general talk about how the offense will look should Russell be named the starting QB and how the offense would adapt under new OC Kendal Briles.
>S Orion Stewart (shoulder) is out for the spring season. I think we said that there was a chance he could return. Also DE Jamal Palmer said he will attend the practices. Palmer has begun running.
>Speaking to the media, Art Briles said about the QB situation: "Right now Seth's going to have to get beat out."
>Briles was asked about the movement where freshmen would become automatically ineligible. He said he would rather see five years of eligibility and no red shirt.
>Also,Jarrett Stidham is wearing No. 3. Blake Lynch is wearing No. 5 - taking Antwan Goodley's number.
