I've gotten word through channels that walk-on QB CJ Rogers has left the Baylor football program. It's not clear when this went down. It appears his football playing days are over. Not sure if he will stay at Baylor to be a student or if he will transfer to another school.
But for now, the Baylor QB situation looks like this:
Starter Blake Shapen
Backup Kyron Drones
Then you have a couple of walk-ons in the mix. We'll have to see if Baylor will go back into the portal to find a third scholarship QB. However, this makes the QB scholarship situation rather thin to say the least.
One walk on QB is former La Tech Luke Anthony. He was banged up quite a bit there. We'll see how that goes.
