With reports of Missouri expected to hire Cleveland State coach Dennis Gates, it appears Baylor Associate HC Jerome Tang has emerged to be in a better position to take over at Kansas State. Nothing imminent at this point. But the drums are beating louder for this. Have a feeling with Baylor out of the tournament, KSU may move faster now.
Mentioned the timing of Tang to move would be now because the other assistants like Alvin Brooks III and John Jankus have been pretty patient and waiting for their turn to be elevated. If Tang doesn't go, one or both could be looking at other elevated assistant positions.
