Baylor (12-17) lost on a walk-off home run in the 10th inning to Texas State (13-15-1) Thursday evening at Bobcat Ballpark, 9-8.
After rallying to take an 8-6 lead with a five-run eighth inning, Baylor was unable to hang on as the Bobcats played long ball to earn the win. In the eighth off Joe Kirkland, Granger Studdard launched a solo homer to cut the BU lead to one. To lead off the ninth, Derek Scheible hit a solo homer of his own to tie the game. Then in the 10th off Spicer, Studdard struck again with a walk-off blast.
