WACO, Texas – Baylor women’s golf was awarded the No. 8 seed at the NCAA East Lansing (Mich.) Regional during the 2019 NCAA Women’s Golf Selection Show on Golf Channel Wednesday afternoon. The three-day tournament will be played May 6-8 at Forest Akers West Golf Course.

The Bears will make their seventh NCAA Tournament appearance in eight seasons under head coach Jay Goble. This marks the 17th NCAA Regional berth in program history, all of which have been since 2000.

It will be Baylor’s third NCAA Regional appearance in the state of Michigan. BU previously competed at Forest Akers West in the 2002 NCAA Central Regional, placing 10th, and the Bears finished in 14th place at Michigan Golf Club in Ann Arbor, Mich., in the 2007 NCAA Central Regional, which was the Bears’ most recent tournament in Michigan.
