'What was he Thinking' will not run at its scheduled time on Monday. I hope to have it up late Monday. Your publisher became lucky enough to collect his jury summons for July 27. So rather than try to come up with another category other than those used for the excused absence section, I have to fulfill my civic duty and report to court.
Yes, it's annoying but whatever happens happens. I'm at the mercy of the process so if the attorneys decide I'm big-time enough to listen to their case, then so be it. If I'm excused, then rock on.
Just letting you know. I'll keep you updated as to how things transpire.
FYI -- I have served on a jury. I was a foreman in dental malpractice case about 10 years ago. We found for the plaintiff but also didn't give them what they were seeking. I'm sure that was by design so they set a high number to see if they could get something reasonable at the end.
Let the fun begin.
